Ruben,
these drivers are developed as customizations for a particular customer, a particular device, etc.
Insist that your local office escalate your request to engineering. They DO exist!
no i can not simply email the drivers to you.
This might very well be educational for your local technician, Ricoh is a very large global company, sometimes it takes a while for information to reach everybody.... :)
regards
Uli

As Uli Stated these are usually handled by the local sales company. This is because they will have to support any issues, but we certainly don't want to cause any frustration to our customers :) anyway Uli has urged me to move forward... so here we are.
I have a LanFax Driver built that will run on MAC and Linux. There are some technical (and legal) challenges still, but we are confident we can make it work fine. Anyone who wishes to participate in the beta please email me. The quantity of responses will dictate the urgency on our part. (sorry that is a reality with limited development resources, i'm trying to be honest here)
I will need the following information:
- Ricoh Device Model (to determine if it can be supported)
- Country the device is located in (to determine the support organization)

We bought this machine (marked "NRG MP 2000") that was supposed to copy, print, scan to folders on macs and manage faxes from Macs in our office; Ricoh assistance in Milano don't know what to do, they say that drivers just do not exist; Please, can you help?
Thanx,

Maurice,
while there is no wayt that the brochures or documentation for our MFP promised "managing faxes form Macs" everything else it can do out of the box and very well.
Please keep asking your local office in Italy. We can provide Mac OSX lan-fax drivers upon request. But you do need to request them.
Don't argue with the poor paisans in Milano, these are developed in the US, there is no way they could know we have them...

catherine,
i believe you are looking at Postscript data sent to a printer without the postscript option installed?
see the Ricoh FAQs for details on how to print a config page, it will tell you if your printer has the postscript option installed.
If postscript is not installed then you will need to use a PCL driver \ PCL PPD.
MacOSX can use PXLmono PPD, Ghostscript and Foomatic Rip to print PCL6 \ PXL.
there is a FAQ on how to do this on MacOSX.
All needed pieces are freely available and OpenSource.

Joe,
all Ricoh Linux PPDs, both Postscript and PCL6 aka pxlmono are hosted here on openprinting.org in the printer database.
hint: click on workgroups, then printing, then select the database

Hello Chris,
i have reed your posting to LANFAX Drivers.
Please let us participate to your beta test with this driver for MP 4000.
We like to use this at a customer (in Germany) with two devices from same model, linux Server is “univention” / Debian with cups.
The second problem at there is the function “Hold Print” / “Angehaltener Druck” to make personal mailboxes at Machine-HDD without password. I have posted this request also in this forum.
Do you have a ppd to give us this feature?
Best Regards, Maik

Nasser,
Mac OSX drivers from the Ricoh website expect the optional Postscript module to print.
If your company chose to not purchase the recommended Postscript option, then you will need to use the Linux PXL PPD instead.
Please review the Ricoh FAQs above for details on what you need to install on your mac to print PCL6
