Always the Printer Task is in PAUSE and JOB-STOPPED.

It's the same problem with the ip1500 & ip2200 drivers.

You can use GutenPrint with the BJC-7000 PPD for the iP3300.

Test all these BJC-7004 kind of models, and then it will automatically suggest some drivers.

It worked for the ip3000 the ip3300 and the 4000. I guess you ll find the answer there.

Andei vasculhando na net e não achei nenhuma receita de como instalar a minha impressora Canon Pixma IP1300, a única informação que tive e encontrei em www.linuxprinting.org, é que ela funcionava com o driver nativo da Canon IP2200.
Andei formatando meu pc algumas vezes e cheguei a um resultado que gostaria de compartilhar. Os passos que segui foram:

1- Baixar o seguinte pacote [software.canon-europe.com] e extraí-lo em uma pasta:

2- Remover o arquivo cnijfilter-common-2.60-1.src.rpm:
$rm cnijfilter-common-2.60-1.src.rpm

3 – Abrir o konsole e converter os outros três arquivos que sobraram de *.rpm para *.deb com o comando:
$sudo alien -d -c *.rpm

4 – Instalar os pacotes:
$sudo dpkg -i *.deb

5 – instalar a biblioteca libgtk1.2 :
$sudo apt-get install libgtk1.2

6- corrigir dependencias:
$sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libpng12.so.0 /usr/lib/libpng.so.3
$sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libxml2.so.2 /usr/lib/libxml.so.1
$sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libpng12.so.0 /usr/lib/libpng.so.2
$sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libtiff.so.4 /usr/lib/libtiff.so.3

7 – configurar mais algumas opções no arquivo:
$sudo kate /usr/share/cups/model/canonip2200.ppd

Acrescentar:

*OpenUI *CNQuality/Quality: PickOne
*DefaultCNQuality: 3
*CNQuality 2/High: "2"
*CNQuality 3/Normal: "3"
*CNQuality 4/Standard: "4"
*CNQuality 5/Economy: "5"
*CloseUI: *CNQuality

*OpenUI *Resolution/Output Resolution: PickOne
*DefaultResolution: 600
*Resolution 600/600 dpi: "<</HWResolution[600 600]>>setpagedevice"
*Resolution 1200/1200 dpi: "<</HWResolution[1200 1200]>>setpagedevice"
*Resolution 2400/2400 dpi: "<</HWResolution[2400 2400]>>setpagedevice"
*CloseUI: *Resolution

8- Reiniciar cups:
$sudo killall cupsd
$sudo cupsd

9 – Agora vai no menu k-->Configurações do sistema-->Impressoras-->Adicionar-->
Adicionar impressora/classe-->próximo-->Impressora local(paralela, serial, usb)-->
USB-->Canon iP1300 USB # -->Canon iP1300-->Próximo
Fabricante-->CANON Modelo-->iP2200-->Próximo
Daqui por diante é só ir completando as informações pedidas

Eu so tenho o cartucho colorido instalado e consegui imprimir mudando as cores das fontes

OH GUYS HELP ME.. I'M DESPERATE LOOKING MY PIXMA IP1300 LINUX DRIVER...

U can use TurboPrint driver for iP1600 -- It works for me on iP1300, But there is little problem for free it will print only with resolution of 300dpi if U wana have better quality printouts U have to pay ~ $30.00 for this driver.

Now I've used a few hours getting this new iP1300 to print, got some hints 'bout the iP2200 driver, but couldn't get it to work. Finally, by following your post, not knowing the language, but anyway, I've got a test page with fresh, wet ink.

I folowed your instructions on my Ubuntu with some minor changes:

* I used mcedit instead of kate (text editor)
* Once the available printers dialog appears I choose to install a driver with the following path:
/usr/share/cups/model/canonip2200.ppd

After that my Canon Ip1300 works!! :D

Hello to all,

Can anybody please tell me how and where to find a linux driver for the Pixma ip1300?? I am using the Linux fedora 7 os and so the driver that it recommended during the setup installation is just now working. When i click to print a test page, the little green light on the printer starts to flash 3 times and then it stops flashing and the printer does nothing. :-)

Would appreciate some help on this as so far everything works except the printer.
